Danny Sidders, To Be Released

Orlando police officer Danny Sidders may get to leave jail soon after all.   On Monday, a judge granted Sidders bail on a $2,100 bond.  But Sidders must wear a GPS monitoring device and abide by certain conditions.

Sidders, 43, was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail on November 6, the second time in 11 months, on domestic violence charges.

In addition to wearing a GPS monitoring device, Sidders’ home must be searched by law enforcement prior to his release to ensure that there are no weapons; he must have no contact, directly or indirectly with the victim or witness; he is not allowed to possess any weapons or firearms and must not be within half-a-mile of any place where the victim lives, works or frequents.

Sidders has been charged with three counts: possession of a firearm, domestic violence battery and tampering with physical evidence.

It is unclear when Sidders would actually be released from jail, as the  afore-mentioned requirements would need to be fulfilled, including a search of his home, prior to his getting out of jail.
