Orlando Police arrested on Friday a man who they believe is responsible for killing a homeless man nearly one month ago.
46-year-old Wayne Spencer was arrested in the 500 block of Fegurson Avenue, just after 1:30 pm, by the Orlando Police Department Fugitive Investigative Unit.
Investigators believe, Spencer killed 52-year-old Richard Raymond Lynch, a homeless man, on March 24. Lynch, also known as Rickie Rich, was found dead in the wooded area behind the Save Rite supermarket at 3201 W. Colonial Drive around 8:30 am.
Detectives, working off of leads from community members, were able to arrest Spencer today.
Spencer is currently at the Orlando Police Department. He is expected to be charged with first degree murder of Lynch.
