Orlando Police responded around 5:00 am on Wednesday morning to a shooting on 4202 Gaither Street, Orlando, where they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say that the victim was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses and continuing with their investigation.
The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
