An Orlando Police Department (OPD) officer was arrested today on battery and false imprisonment charges.
Officer Dante Candelaria was investigated by the OPD Criminal Investigations Division following a complaint.
Candelaria was charged with two counts of false imprisonment and one battery count. He was taken into custody on Wednesday and transported to the Orange County Jail.
Candelaria was hired by the department in 2003 and was an officer with the Gang Unit.
