Orlando Police Arrest Man for Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer

The Orlando Police Department arrested a man for impersonating a law enforcement officer.

49-year-old Mark Anthony Bosques was arrested after OPD investigated a suspicious incident that took place in the area of 3250 Bruton Boulevard in Orlando earlier in January.

While standing on the sidewalk near the intersection of Bruton Boulevard and LB Mcleod Road, the victim was approached by a man who stated he was a law enforcement officer.

The suspect flashed a fake police badge from his wallet, while attempting to search the victim. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and run from the scene.

Orlando Police detectives were able to identify the suspect as Bosques who is now charged with False Imprisonment, Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer and Battery.

According to OPD, this investigation is ongoing and police are encouraging anyone who has information related to this incident to contact the Orlando Police Violent Crime Unit or pass on their information anonymously through Crimeline.
