Orlando Man Indicted for First Degree Murder for Holden Heights Homicide

An Orlando man has been indicted for first degree murder for a Holden Heights homicide.




On May 22nd, State Attorney Andrew Bain’s office announced that an Orange County grand jury formally indicted 42-year-old Charles Hollins for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm), Robbery (with a Firearm) and Shooting at, within, or into a Building.

On April 7th, Hollins shot and killed a man at a home in the 1000 block of 24th Street in the Holden Heights neighborhood of Orange County, according to law enforcement. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced his arrest for the shooting death of 46-year-old of George Samuels III.

The State presented sufficient evidence to a grand jury to secure indictments against Hollins for First Degree Murder (with a Firearm), Robbery with a Firearm and Shooting at/with at, Within or into a Building.
