A man was killed while attempting to cross the road on Friday night and troopers are searching for two vehicles which fled the scene of the crash.
20-year-old Steven Anthony Mieses, of Orlando, was pronounced dead at the scene, after he was hit by three vehicles as he attempted to cross Wetherbee Road near Landstar Boulevard in Orange County. The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. on Friday night.
Mieses was first hit by a 2003 Mitsubishi driven by Jose Shelvin which was traveling westbound on Wetherbee Road, as he stepped into the roadway. Mieses was also hit by a white Dodge Neon, with front damage, also traveling westbound. This was followed by a third vehicle, white in color, with undercarriage damage.
Troopers say, both the Dodge Neon and the white vehicle fled the scene.
Shelvin remained at the scene of the crash.
