An Orlando man who investigators say, was involved in murdering another man after a drug deal went bad, was arrested over the week-end.
Osceola County deputies patrolling the area near Cyrils Drive and Zuni Road, discovered the body of 50-year-old Angel M. Pagan in a ditch just before 4:00 a.m. on March 1, 2012.
The investigation of Pagan’s murder led detectives to 35-year-old Pedro Luis Sanchez Maldonado, of 4619 Dunkeld Avenue, in Orlando.
Deputies said, Pagan and Maldonado were involved in drug related activity on the morning of March 1, in the area of Narcoosee Road.
Maldonado was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail without bond. He has been charged with murder for his involvement in the felony drug deal which led to Pagan’s homicide.
Deputies said, the investigation is on-going and additional charges are pending.
