An Orlando man who arranged to have sex with whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl was arrested on Monday, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Paul Shamonsky, 25, of 2290 Gator Drive in Orlando, was arrested by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit around 8:06 pm, on Monday night, (November 15, 2010) after he arrived at the Lake Square Mall parking lot to have sex with a “13-year-old girl”.
Detectives working in an undercover capacity online, were contacted by Shamonsky. He arranged through online contact to meet the “13-year-old girl” in the mall parking lot.
When Shamonsky arrived at the Lake Square Mall parking lot he was taken into custody and booked into the Lake County Jail without incident.
Shamonsky, according to Lake County Sheriff’s officers, has a criminal history, including a previous sex crime involving a juvenile victim that did not occur in Lake County.
