Orlando Magic Tip Off 2014-15 Season at Amway Center, Oct 30

The Orlando Magic will tip off the 2014-15 season in the Amway Center when they face the Washington Wizards on Thursday, October 30, tip off set for 7:00 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 7:00 p.m. for pregame festivities.

The Magic’s regular season tips off on October 28 when they travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans at 8:00 p.m.  The game can be seen on FOX Sports Florida with coverage starting at 7:30 p.m. Radio coverage can be heard on ESPN 580 Orlando and in Spanish on La Voz 1440 AM.

To celebrate in “Pure Magic” fashion the team will be introduced with state-of-the-art special effects.  In addition, the first 5,000 fans will receive “thunderstix” at the doors.

Other home opening night highlights include:

  • National Anthem performed by Sisaundra Lewis from season six of The Voice
  • Halftime performance by soul violinist, Lee England Jr.
  • Concourse entertainment includes face painting, balloon art, a photo booth, and a caricature artist on the Promenade Level
  • An exciting Fan Fest, free and open to the public (begins at 5:00 p.m.), on Church Street (between Hughey and Division) will feature:

o   Live band, Run for Cover

o   Inflatable games

o   Face painting

o   Balloon art

o   Photo booth

o   Skills n’ drills basketball court presented by UnitedHealthcare

o   Magic Grill opens at 4 p.m.

Ticket highlights for the Magic’s 2014-15 in the Amway Center, honored with TheStadiumBusiness Awards’2013 Customer Experience Award and named SportsBusiness Journal’s 2012 Sports Facility of the Year, include: 2,500 seats priced $20 or less, 8,000 seats priced $40 or less and 9,000 seats priced $50 or under.
