In July 2008, the Orlando Magic created a multicultural insights department dedicated to creating an inclusive environment in which our fans, community partners and employees feel welcome, valued and appreciated.
In an effort to continue this important initiative, the Magic have announced a new partnership with two of the nation’s leading independent multicultural marketing agencies. The team has retained Circulation Expertí, Ltd and Act-é Marketing Solutions to serve collectively as its multicultural marketing agencies. The agencies will provide public relations, advertising and marketing services to strengthen the Orlando Magic’s outreach across diverse communities throughout Central Florida.
“The Orlando Magic is a vested member of the Central Florida community who look to produce innovative, leading edge communications in all that they do,” said Circulation Expertí President and CEO W. Garrison Jackson. “We look forward to a partnership that will enhance and strengthen their efforts in the community.”
The Magic’s commitment to Central Florida’s vibrant, multicultural community is part of its mission to be world champions off the court. In an effort to reach that goal, the team is learning new ways to reach a diverse fan base, creating a culture of diversity and inclusion.
“Expertí/Act-é look forward to being a part of the Orlando Magic, supporting their mission of being World Champions on and off the court,” said Act-é President/CEO Carmen Sepúlveda.
The Experti/Act-é Marketing Solutions, Inc. a consortium established in 2008, is African-American, Hispanic and women-owned with offices in New York and an affiliate in Miami. The consortium has a deep knowledge of the retail, consumer packaged goods, financial services, healthcare, airlines, telecommunications, and entertainment marketing industries.
“We want our entire fan base to know we value them,” said Vice President of Community Relations and Government Affairs Linda Landman Gonzalez. “It’s important to understand our consumer’s needs and make everyone feel a part of our team. We want to continue our education on how to effectively reach every fan, and this is just one small way for us to do that.”
