In celebration of Hispanic heritage and in honor of our Latino fans and their incredible contributions to the entire community, Orlando Magic players will be wearing “El Magic” shooting shirts during warm-ups prior to the game on Thursday, March 11 against the Chicago Bulls. The “El Magic” shooting shirts are also available for purchase through www.orlandomagicshop.com.
The new “El Magic” shirts will provide the opportunity for our community to identify with the unique contributions of our Hispanic fans while showing support for their favorite NBA team. The Magic believe in creating an environment where our community partners, fans and employees feel welcome, valued and appreciated and we understand what can be accomplished when people from different backgrounds and cultures work together to achieve legendary moments.
The Orlando Magic is committed to the Hispanic community and has instituted a variety of initiatives to reach our multicultural fan base throughout Central Florida, including creating a multicultural insights department in July 2008 under the leadership of Chief Operating Officer Alex Martins.
