ORLANDO MAGIC CELEBRATES THANKSGIVING AT COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS

**Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy to provide food for Coalition for the Homeless residents**

WHO: Orlando Magic President Bob Vander Weide, Orlando Magic Chief Operating Officer Alex Martins, Orlando Magic Community Ambassadors Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw, and Coalition for the Homeless staff members and Coalition residents/families  

WHAT: Orlando Magic Host Coalition for the Homeless Thanksgiving Breakfast

Orlando Magic staff and volunteers will serve Thanksgiving breakfast to homeless men, women and children at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.  Magic Head Coach Stan Van Gundy will pay for the meals for over 600 Coalition residents.

This annual tradition includes an open breakfast for Coalition residents and any members of the community who don’t have the means to celebrate Thanksgiving, with coffee courtesy of Starbucks.  The Magic will also host a special carnival for children, immediately following breakfast, at the Coalition’s main campus.  Festivities include a guest appearance by the Magic Dancers and music by 102JAMZ.  The adults are treated to haircuts by Paul Mitchell and calls to loved ones.

WHEN: Thursday, November 27, 2008

6:30 a.m. – Meal preparation and set up begins

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Orlando Magic COO Alex Martins, Community Ambassadors

Nick Anderson & Bo Outlaw and staff serve Thanksgiving breakfast

9 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – Carnival
