WHAT: Orlando Magic “Deck the Halls”
As part of NBA Cares Season of Giving, over the next week Orlando Magic players and staff will “deck the halls” around Central Florida. Activities include a hospital visit, shopping spree, gift deliveries and other surprises.
The NBA, its teams and players are out in their communities hosting hundreds of charitable events across the country in an effort to brighten the holidays for thousands of children and families. The NBA encourages fans to join the NBA family by using #NBAGiveBIG and share how they are giving back in their communities.

Orlando Magic Staff to Participate in Angel Tree Adoption Program to Benefit Beta Center and Harbor House
The Orlando Magic is hosting an internal Angel Tree Adoption program with its staff to benefit women and children at BETA Center and Harbor House. Staff will select a family from the Angel Tree and purchase items from their wish list. BETA’s mission is to provide children and parents with the knowledge and support needed for strong and healthy families. With a focus on parenting, teen moms and at-risk families, BETA Center changes behaviors and lives. Harbor House provides safe shelter, a 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling and emotional support, and legal advocacy for thousands of domestic violence survivors and their children each year.

Magic Player Arron Afflalo Share the Magic Ticket Program
Afflalo will meet 30 children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida courtside prior to the Magic’s matchup with Utah as part of Share the Magic Ticket Program. Through the program, Magic players purchase tickets to home games to give underprivileged children the opportunity to attend an NBA game.

Magic players Glen Davis, Arron Afflalo and Victor Oladipo Pepsi Holiday Shopping Spree
Magic players Glen Davis, Arron Afflalo and Victor Oladipo to take 100 youth from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Florida on a holiday shopping spree. Pepsi will donate 75 $100 gift cards and the Glen Davis will donate 25 $100 gift cards to each youth for the shopping spree. In addition, Pepsi will donate $2,500 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida to help support their programs. FOX Sports Florida will provide transportation for youth to and from the event on its Orlando Magic Fan Express bus.

Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children visit with Magic players Nikola Vucevic, Andrew Nicholson, Solomon Jones and Tobias Harris; Vucevic to also present Florida Hospital for Children a check for $10k
Magic players Nikola Vucevic, Andrew Nicholson, Solomon Jones and Tobias Harris along with STUFF the Magic Mascot and Magic Dancers will spread some cheer to pediatric patients at Florida Hospital for Children. The group will deliver gifts, sign autographs, play games and bring ‘magic’ to young fans. Vucevic will also present Florida Hospital for Children a check for $10k to assist with its pediatric healthcare needs.

Magic Maker Holiday Wish Child
In celebration of the Magic’s 25th anniversary season, the Magic will be selecting 25 local youth to attend games throughout the season as that night’s Magic Makers. Rashawn Burton will be the Magic Maker at the Magic’s Dec. 23 matchup with the New York Knicks. The selection will be based on a child who has had or is suffering from any medical condition which may be considered life threatening or suffering from the loss of an immediate family member. Burton, who suffers from epilepsy and cardiomegaly, and his family will be treated to a VIP Magic experience and to spread some holiday cheer, the Magic will surprise Burton with gifts.

The Magic’s Big Give
For the fifth consecutive year, the Orlando Magic will celebrate Christmas in a BIG way surprising a local military family during the Magic vs. Knicks matchup. The Magic will provide the family with a limo ride, dinner and courtside seats to the game. At halftime, the Magic will shower the family with gifts. Champion of the Community partner Chase sponsored a home for the family as well.
