A Disney employee who suffered an accident on Sunday while working on the Primeval Whirl attraction has died.
Russell Sherry Roscoe, 52, died at the Orlando Regional Medical Center on Monday.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were advised that Roscoe suffered a head injury shortly before 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, in a 911 call from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Deputies said, no guests were involved in the incident since the attraction was closed for refurbishment.
Roscoe was airlifted to ORMC in critical condition and passed away early on Sunday morning.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is working in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in this ongoing investigation.
