AirTran Airways is celebrating the 25th birthday of NBA All-Star and AirTran endorser Dwight Howard by offering $25 vouchers to customers who “Like” the airline via its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/AirTranAirways.
Howard has been an endorser of AirTran Airways since 2009. The airline is also a “Champions of the Community” partner of the Orlando Magic and sponsors the AirTran Airways Flight Deck at the Amway Center, replete with a life-size sculpture of the 6-foot-11-inch phenom soaring high above the rim.
“Dwight has been a great member of the AirTran team and we are happy to recognize his special day,” said Tad Hutcheson, AirTran Airways’ vice president of marketing and sales. “Dwight wanted to celebrate his birthday with his fans so we came up with this novel way to give back. Travelling to an arena to see Dwight in person has never been more affordable.”
Howard, an imposing yet athletic center currently leads the Orlando Magic in points, rebounds and blocks. The two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year will look to finish the season with his fifth All-Star nomination in just seven NBA seasons.
