A massive explosion downtown Orlando on Thursday afternoon, led to the closure of several streets and a major response by the Orlando Fire Department.
The explosion occurred in an unoccupied warehouse at 47 W. Jefferson Street around 12:30 p.m., police said. The building houses business materials and equipment used in the manufacture of animatronics, police also said.
There are no reports of injuries.
The explosion likely came from experimental cooking-fuel, inside the vacant warehouse, according to news reports.
There are five additional tanks filled with the experimental fuel with which firefighters are dealing, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Police have set up a perimeter around the involved warehouse and Jefferson Street is closed between Orange and the railroad tracks.
