A young Orlando driver was killed early this morning on Lake Price Drive, after he lost control and the vehicle struck a tree.
Troopers said, the crash occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
23-year-old Joshua Rodriguez was heading north on Lake Price Drive, north of Boca Woods Drive, when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway on the right, troopers said.
The 1995 Honda Civic Rodriguez was driving, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Rodriguez was pronounced dead on the scene by the Medical Examiner.
Evan Hunter De Blanes, 23, a passenger in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Troopers are awaiting toxicology results to determine whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash. It is not known if Rodriguez was wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.
Florida Highway Patrol said, the crash remains under investigation.
