Sure to be a fiery performance no one will soon forget, ¡Bailamos! hits the Linda Chapin Theatre at the Orange County Convention Center for a sizzling, exclusive performance on March 12, 2011 at 8 p.m. Presented by the Orlando Ballet, the production will feature original selections by artistic director Robert Hill.
¡Bailamos! is a unique performance as it not only serves as an added component of the ballet season, it is also a special fundraising opportunity for the ballet company. The production, which is in its second year, carries a heavy Latin theme, featuring a variety of tantalizing choreographies to time-honored melodies – huapango, danzon, tango and, of course, some hot Salsa dancing!
The Orlando Ballet is the professional resident ballet of the Greater Orlando area. Established in 1974, the organization employs a full-time company of dancers spanning the globe from Europe and Asia to North and South America, as well as the Caribbean. Under Hill’s artistic direction, the Company has embarked on several new artistic collaborations, including the presentation of a choreographer showcase with performers from La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil as well as performing with Mariah Carey at the Walt Disney World Christmas Parade.
The intensity of the music and the moves are sure to bring audiences to their feet. This explosive production was especially created by Hill for this event!
