UPDATE: February 27th, 4:21pm
Today, February 27,2010 shortly after 3:00 pm teen mother and baby were located by the OCSO safe at the Intown Suites Hotel on South Orange Blossom Trail.
Jayla Nash has been turned over to the Department of Children and Families (DCF)
Nikki Nash was taken into custody via the juvenile pick up order issued related to the custody of Jayla and taken to JAC

Orlando Police officers are searching for a 1-year-old baby girl and her teen mother, both of whom have been missing since January 25th.
According to OPD:
Jayla Nash (1-year-old), was taken by her 16 year old mother, Nikki Nash. Her mother took her and absconded from DCF custody on January 25, 2010. Nikki Nash, has a history of theft and drugs and is known to frequent the OBT area. Both Nikki and Jayla are under the jurisdiction of the court and Nikki currently has an active pick up order.
Jayla has a medical condition and recieved treatment prior to the disappearance but can be serious in babies. This medical condition, if it flares up, will require medication and breathing treatments. It is unlikely Nikki would have access to the medical treatment if needed. No one has seen Jayla since their disappearance on January 25, 2010 and there is a great concern for her well being and safety.
