The Florida Lottery recently announced that Syalon Britten, of Ocoee, claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular scratch-off game.
The Orange County woman chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.
The Central Florida winner purchased her winning ticket from Discount Beverages & Smoke, located at 207 US Highway 441/27 in Lady Lake. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
She claimed her winning prize at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office.
The $50 scratch-off game, $1,000,000 A Year For Life Spectacular, features two top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million. Additionally, this ticket is filled with more than $1.6 billion in cash prizes. There are zero top prizes remaining in this scratch-off game, and there are 57 $1,000,000 prizes remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024.
