Orange County Utilities is hosting a job fair Tuesday, February 15th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center’s North Concourse (9400 Universal Boulevard). All experience levels needed.
Positions being interviewed at the event include: Engineering Inspector, Equipment Operator, Field Specialist, Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechanic, Meter Reader, Wastewater Plant Operator, Water Plant Operator. This job fair will feature same day interviews and offers for roles that span from entry level to experienced.
Field Specialists are just one of eight positions featured at the job fair. Field Specialists are responsible for operating and maintaining underground utility piping and pumping facilities. They perform technical duties in multiple areas of field operations, including heavy equipment; valve, meter, and hydrant operation and maintenance; pump station operation and maintenance; repair and installation of piping systems; safety; sewer video inspection and sealing; sewer cleaning equipment; and line locations.
Minimum qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent and a combination of necessary education, training, or experience. A valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (Class B) must be obtained within six months of hire. Employees must complete required certifications and continuing education as detailed in the official job posting.
