The Orange County tourist tax collections increased again compared to 2024 in the latest report from Comptroller Phil Diamond.
Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond recently announced that Tourist Development Tax (TDT) collections received by Orange County for the December 2025 TDT collection month were $34,329,900.
That is a 8.1% increase compared to December 2024.
“Orange County enjoyed its own ‘Santa Claus Rally’ with TDT collections reaching a new all time high for the month of December” said Comptroller Diamond.
On the TDT reserve side, Renewal & Replacement Reserves (R&RR) decreased by $1.5 million in December as shown in the attached “TDT Cash Reserve Summary.” The Other Authorized Uses Reserves, which is a component of the R&RR, is currently at $129.4 million, of which $45.2 million is obligated for Applicant Review Committee (ARC) grants for various capital projects.
The reduction in the R&RR is primarily due to the County spending approximately $14 million on the Convention Way Grand Concourse project and making a $10 million payment to UCF for the $90 million expansion and renovation of the football stadium tower project.
The Comptroller released a chart showing the monthly year-over-year dollar amount change in TDT collections since October 2023:
The Orange County Comptroller will release the January TDT collections report in early March.
