Orange County to Launch New App for Emergencies

One day before the start of the hurricane season, Orange County will launch a new iPhone App for emergencies.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs will announce the new state of the art technology on Tuesday, which will offer real time alerts during county emergencies.

Details of the new iPhone, iPad App are limited until Mayor Jacobs’ announcement around 11: 15 am, today at the Gulfstream Harbor Mobile Home Community Center on south Goldenrod Road.

Jacobs will be joined by Orange County Fire Chief Carl Plaugher and Office of Emergency Management Director Preston Cook, for the launch.
