Orange County’s Tourist Development Tax Application Review Committee (ARC) is accepting applications for capital grants exceeding $2 million and up to and including $15 million until April 30th.
The Tourist Development Tax Application Review Committee is authorized to consider applications for excess tourist development tax revenue funding and to provide written funding recommendations to the Tourist Development Council and the Board of County Commissioners based on applicable criteria established by ordinance.
Applications and supporting materials will be accepted through the United Arts Grants Portal. Training and application support to prospective applicants will also be provided by United Arts; staff will be available to assist applicants until April 29th at 5pm. A recording of the March 25th and 27th information sessions can also be found on the United Arts website for reference.
For cultural tourism and sports events, as well as projects requesting $2 million or less, the County also provides annual funding through two separate competitive processes. Potential applicants may learn more about Arts & Cultural Affairs funding and the Orange County Sports Incentive Committee on the County’s website.
The use of Florida TDT is governed by Section 125.0104 of the Florida Statutes.The Statutes sets forth the procedure for levying TDT, as well as the authorized uses. The Tourist Development Tax Grant Application Review Committee was created by Resolution No. 2017-M- 44, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners on October 31, 2017.
