The Orange County Sheriff’s Office recently charged a dealer in a local drug death.
According to OCSO, 28-year-old Daquan Jaques Brown faces a felony charge of Death Caused by Unlawful Distribution of Fentanyl.
He was charged after a law enforcement investigation revealed Brown sold the drugs that killed 49-year-old Michael Thomas March in August of 2023.
According to local law enforcement, toxicology reports showed fentanyl, cocaine and mitragynine (another opioid) in March’s system.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office also issued a warning to other local drug dealers as they continue to fight fentanyl in Orlando and Central Florida.
“Drug dealers, consider this a warning. If you sell deadly fentanyl in our community, we will do everything we can to put you behind bars – and keep you there,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated.
