The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a head on crash of an Orange County Sheriff’s deputy.
The accident happened around 5:00 am, on Thursday at the intersection of Landstreet Road and South Orange Blossom Trail.
A statement from OCSO said the deputy was responding to a man down call at the time of the crash. It is not clear whether the deputy had his siren or lights on.
The deputy along with two passengers from the other vehicle were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The name of the deputy has not been released. The Sheriff’s Office statement said, the deputy is currently assigned to the Sector IV Uniform Patrol Division and was hired in December 2008.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is undertaking an administrative review of the accident.
