It is being reported that the manner in which the decision was taken by the Orange County School District to close six schools and re-zone thousands of students, was badly bungled.
There is a court order in place which requires the school district to appoint a bi-racial committee of ten citizens to sign off on any such school closure proposals, but this did not happen.  Rather, there was a committee made up of one man that signed off on the proposal.
The school district could well have a major problem on its hands, as they seek to correct it.
