The School Board of Orange County on Tuesday proposed several persons to serve on a redistricting advisory committee.
Every 10 years, in keeping with requirements of the federal court, the school district redraws boundaries for each board member’s individual district.
The 17-member advisory committee is composed of residents and electors in the 7 school districts and will be approved by the School Board at its upcoming meeting on May 10.
Each board member proposed the names of two appointees to the advisory committee. School Board Chair, Bill Sublette will select three appointees.
The intended appointees announced to date are:
Chair Bill Sublette – James Auffant (District 1), Earnest A. DeLoach (District 3), Denise Epps (District 7)
District 1 – Joie Cadle – Susan Paxon and Evelyn Rivera
District 2 – Daryl Flynn – Earl E. Lugo and Phil Stump
District 3 – Rick Roach – Peggy Avery and Edwin R. Marrero
District 4 – Vicky Bell – Sherryl Becker and Carol A. Stearns
District 5 – Kathleen Gordon – Nelson W. Pinder and one to be named
District 6 – Nancy Robbinson – Lila McHenry and Ozella Miller
District 7 – Christine Moore – Mary Frances Mancuso and Wendy West
