The Florida Lottery recently announced that Jeffery Mason, of Orlando, claimed a $1 million prize from the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off game.
The Orange County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $652,665.
The Central Florida man purchased his winning ticket from City Store, located at 2893 Delaney Avenue in Orlando. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
The winner claimed his prize at the Florida Lottery’s Orlando District Office.
For $20, players can win up to 5 million instantly playing the $5,000,000 Crossword Cash scratch-off game. This word-themed game offers over $239.6 million in cash prizes, including four top prizes of $5 million. There are zero top prizes and one $1 million prize remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.9.
