Orange County Hosts Family Fun Day

Orange County concludes its week-long 9th Annual Week of the Family celebration with Family Fun Day at Jay Blanchard Park November 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Mayor Teresa Jacobs proclaimed October 30, 2011 through November 5, 2011 as Orange County’s Week of the Family.

There will be an array of fun, family-oriented activities for people of all ages, as well as performances from various local groups on stage. One of the performance highlights will be nationally known Retro Bill. He will be at the event (live) teaching children about safety, self-esteem and more in a kid-friendly format. Week of the Family is a special opportunity for Orange County families to recommit to enhancing and extending all of the connections that strengthen and enrich this most valuable institution. Orange County recognizes that families are an essential part of the cultural, social and spiritual fabric and strong families are at the center of strong communities
