Orange County hosts 2014 Florida Neighborhoods Conference

NeighborhoodsConferencefinalThe Orange County Neighborhood Preservation & Revitalization Division will host the 2014 Florida Neighborhoods Conference July 11 – 12, 2014, at Loews Royal Pacific Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort. Participants will benefit from over 25 workshops that illustrate county programs, answer homeowners associations concerns and questions, and provide assistance with projects and initiatives designed to enhance and revitalize neighborhoods.

The conference strives to educate and assist citizens on how to revitalize their neighborhoods and make them the best possible places to live. Citizens, community leaders, grassroots campaign organizers, and non-profit organizations come together during the two-day event to share ideas about improvements that can be made in their counties.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs will be on hand for the conference’s main event, the Community Awards Luncheon, which recognizes individual citizens and community organizations for their accomplishments and talents. In addition, Mayor Jacobs and each of the six members of the Orange County Board of County Commissioners will recognize the citizens-of-the-year for their districts and pay tribute to the contributions towards the betterment of the community. Platinum conference sponsors this year include Bright House Networks, TECO Peoples Gas, and Truly Nolen.
