The search continues for an armed man who robbed the CVS Pharmacy located at 7665 West Colonial Drive, last Saturday.
Deputies arrived around 8:15 a.m., to find the robbery suspect fleeing on foot northbound from the CVS Pharmacy toward Woodridge Apartments nearby. As they attempted to confront the man, he produced a firearm and one deputy opened fire.
According to investigators, the suspect scaled the wall of the Woodridge Apartment complex and continued to flee once inside.
Although a perimeter was quickly established and several local law enforcement agencies responded to the scene to assist, the suspect has not been apprehended.
The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, about 5′ 7″ to 5′ 8″ tall and weighing around 135 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous, deputies say.
