The Orange County Convention Center has received a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold designation – one of the highest levels established by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute.
Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs made the announcement Monday afternoon at the OCCC. LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for design, construction and operation of high performance green building.
Jacobs said, they are thrilled to receive this distinction and the LEED designation will attract businesses that demand green meeting space and sustainable facilities, wftv.com reported
