Orange County Animal Services is honoring military families by waiving dog and cat adoption fees on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
“We want to show our appreciation to those brave men and women who have served our country by allowing them to take home a four-legged friend for free,” said Dil Luther, Division Manager of Orange County Animal Services. “We’re hoping this Veterans Day adoption promotion can unite our homeless shelter pets with loving, forever homes.”
To qualify for the promotion, adopters must provide an active military ID or copy of their DD Form 214 with honorable discharge.
Animal Services is also celebrating National Adopt a Senior Pet Month by waiving adoption fees for pets six years and older.
Each adoption includes spay/neuter, initial vaccinations, microchip identification, deworming, heartworm test (dogs) or FLV/FIV test (cats), rabies vaccination and Adoption Welcome Kit.
Orange County Animal Services is located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando near the Mall at Millenia. The facility is open for adoptions weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, please call (407) 836-3111 or visit www.ocnetpets.com.
