The Orlando Police Department will host a Regional DUI Enforcement Operation on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 9:00pm until March 17, 2012 at 4:00 am.
This will be the first Regional DUI Operation that the Orlando Police Department has hosted in 15 years. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Community Traffic Task Force along with different agencies within Orange County will be in attendance.
The operation aims to reduce the number of crashes, fatalities, injuries, and the severity of injuries on the highways, streets and roadways in Orange County.
The checkpoint location will be in the area of the 4000 block of S. Kirkman Road. There will also be a roving patrol component to this operation. The roving patrol will patrol all streets and roadways within Orange County.
This check point was really for lack of a better word “stupid” looked like construction at first until i read a big sign that said “Police checkpoint ahead” and then which i took a left and avoided the check point. lmao I don’t know if the police were trying to catch people or just scare them. Word of advice pick a better spot! Kirkman not a good idea! opd get real?!
