A man who sexually assaulted a woman in Parramore Heritage Park in downtown Orlando on Sunday afternoon has been arrested, Orlando Police said.
Michael Wilson, 39 years has been charged with sexual battery and assault.
According to Orlando Police, detectives responded to South Parramore Avenue where they learned from a female victim that she was raped by a man known to her as “Mike”.
The victim told police that “Mike” called her over to him in Parramore Heritage Park in downtown Orlando, where the suspect began to assault her. The woman said that she started to yell, whereupon the suspect told her to stop yelling or he would punch her in the face and make her pay for it. The victim also told police that, the suspect told her he would Kill her if she went to the police. The victim was able to break free and call 911.
Upon arrival in the area, police were able to shortly identify the possible suspect who was still in the area, as he had stopped by a near-by pond.
The victim was brought to the location and was able to identify Wilson. The suspect was wearing the same jeans shots and tennis shoes as he had earlier.

Police handcuffed and placed Wilson in the squad car and transported him to Orlando Police Headquarters to be interviewed.
According to police, Wilson relieved himself right in the interviewing room, although he was told to wait.
The victim was taken to the rape crisis center and provided a written statement.
Wilson was booked into the Orange County Jail.
