Olympia High School baseball and softball fields will now be known as “Baptiste Orthodontics Ball Fields” under a 5-year naming rights agreement approved by Orange County School board Tuesday.
The agreement with Baptiste Orthodontics totals $77,500 and will be paid over five years with the company subsidizing all costs for signage and posting at the ball fields.
Baptiste Orthodontics is located in the shopping center next to Olympia High School and Dr. Baptiste has been a strong partner with Olympia High School and OCPS for several years. An advertising and marketing program was established in Orange County Public Schools in July 2009.
The program serves to generate non-traditional revenue for the benefit of the district and its member schools. The specific allocation of funds as determined by the school board will be 75 percent for Olympia High and the remaining 25 percent to be placed in the districtwide athletic preservation fund.
