OIA Taxiway To Get A $4.5m Face Lift, More Jobs

Congressman Alan Grayson (FL-8) proudly announced today that Orlando International Airport will receive a $4.5 million grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  The money will pay to repair and rehabilitate the taxiway at OIA.

Grayson said, “I am pleased that our federal efforts to bring more money to the district are coming to fruition.  With 90,000-100,000 passengers flying through Orlando International Airport every day, it remains the busiest airport in our great state.  The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority already employs 650 people at O.I.A., with more to come now.  I expect to see these federal dollars go towards stimulating new jobs for our community, as well as expanding capital and operating improvements.  Progress For Central Florida continues.”
