Orange County Public Schools will hold a transportation services job fair on Thursday June 28, to recruit bus operators.
The job fair will take place at the Pine Hills Compound, 5140 N. Pine Hills Road, Orlando 32080, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
During training candidates will receive payment of $9.00 per hour with starting pay at $11.87 per hour, when benefited.
Candidates must have the following:
– a clean driving record
– a valid Florida driver’s license
– 5 years of licensed driving
– Please bring a copy of a certified driver history (7 years); $10.00 at the DMV or the Tax Collector’s office.
Current bus operators will be on hand to answer questions about the OCPS bus fleet, training, transporting students, field trips, work schedules, and more.
OCPS Staff:
– will assist with the completion of the online application
– conduct on-the-spot interviews for the bus operator position
– explain the training and hiring processes and
– demonstrate equipment
To get to the location of the Pine Hills Compound:
From the intersection of Colonial Dr. and Orange Ave., proceed west on Colonial Dr. for approx. four miles to Pine Hills Rd.; turn right . . . from the 408 (East West Expressway) take Pine Hills Rd. exit 6 north . . . Proceed north on Pine Hills Rd. for approx. four miles to the compound on the left side of the street (which includes office, bus parking, fuel facilities and garage).
