OCPS Magnet and Scholastic Academies are open to all families in Central Florida, the Orange County school district recently emphasized.
Orange County Public Schools recently pointed out that no matter where you live, your child’s future can start in Orange County Public Schools. For the first time, Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) opened Magnet and Scholastic Academy applications to all families, including those who live outside the Orlando district.
Families may apply during the application window for some of OCPS’s most in-demand and innovative programs. Seats will be awarded on a first applied, first seated basis and a waitlist is available.
OCPS Magnet and Scholastic Academies offer rigorous, specialized pathways designed to match students’ talents and passions, including programs in: Artificial Intelligence (AI), Aviation, Law, Finance, and Criminal Justice, ESports, Medical Studies, STEAM, Gifted Education, and Performing Arts.
“These programs are designed to prepare students for college, careers, and life,” said Michelle Thomas, director, School Choice Services. “By opening applications to all families, we are expanding access to high-quality, specialized education opportunities.”
