The Council of the Great City Schools presented Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Chief Operating Officer (COO) Michael Eugene with the “Managing for Results Achievement Award” on April 5, 2012.

The award distinguishes OCPS as a district demonstrating efficient and effective use of resources in the critical areas of child nutrition, maintenance and operations, safety and security, and student transportation.

“Winning the “Managing for Results Achievement Award” is an important national recognition that demonstrates OCPS Operations Departments are performance-based, and delivering higher-quality services at lower costs compared to other large school districts across the country,” said COO Michael Eugene.

The Council of the Great City Schools is an organization representing more than 60 of the largest, urban school districts in the United States.
