An Ocoee man was charged on Tuesday with five counts of possession of child pornography and booked into the Orange County Jail.
Eric Perez, 27, was arrested after investigators discovered Perez had multiple videos of child pornography in his possession. Cybercrime investigators located videos of child pornography during a routine investigation and traced the images back to Perez’s computer.
According to a release from the Attorney General’s office, a search warrant was executed on Perez’s Ocoee home where one laptop and three SD cards were seized. The items removed from the home will undergo forensic analysis to identify any additional images of child pornography. An initial review of his computers revealed multiple videos of child pornography including some of children as young as two years old, the statement said.
Perez was booked into the Orange County Jail around 3:30 pm. He is charged with 5 counts of possession of child pornography, each a third degree felony.
The Ocoee Police Department and the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
