Ocoee High School senior and Westside Tech dual-enrollment student Andre Patton was selected as the second-place winner in the STEMflorida Multimedia Student Competition. The competition was a digital marketing contest in which 14 schools from 10 school districts submitted entries.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The contest was open to Florida high school students, grades 9-12. The categories included poster, web banner, video, and website homepage design.
The theme of the competition “You Might Be STEM If….”. It was chosen to define for students what STEM is all about, and the actual career opportunities available in the STEM industry.
