An image of President Obama found hanging from a store in Plains, Georgia, hometown of former President Jimmy Carter is under investigation by the Plains Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s office.
A back doll hanging with a noose around the neck and a sign with Obama’s name on it was found on Saturday, January 2nd, 2010, on a store on Main Street, in Plains, Georgia.
Some residents got photos of the effigy before it was removed, but many of the residents are not talking. Those who did speak, say that what was done was wrong, although Plains is a nice place.
Plains, Georgia is the birthplace of former President Jimmy Carter of whom its citizens are proud. The effigy was found in a prominent part of the city dedicated to Carter.
The Plains Police Department, Sumter county Sheriff’s Office and the Secret Service which has now joined the investigation are trying to determine who placed the image on the store.
