Oak Ridge High to Open First Leadership, Entrepreneurship Program

Oak Ridge High School

Oak Ridge High School will be home to the district’s first Leadership and Entrepreneurship Magnet Program, beginning in the school year 2012-2013.

This magnet program is the result of a long-awaited OCPS project in conjunction with Junior Achievement of Central Florida, Inc.

The Junior Achievement Leadership and Entrepreneurship Academy at Oak Ridge HS will help students master leadership and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills through a broad, integrated, challenging, and engaging curriculum. The approach will lead students to higher education and work opportunities as competent, ethical, curious, and caring individuals.

Any OCPS student may apply to attend the magnet program.

Junior Achievement of Central Florida, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and entrepreneurship. Through its business volunteers, JA currently provides OCPS with volunteers in over 2,000 classes.
