The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said on Thursday that a small portion of the oil slick has reached the Florida Loop Current in the form of light to very light sheens.
If NOAA’s projections are correct, Florida has about 5-8 days to ramp up its preparations to handle the oil off its shores.
