Don’t hold your breath waiting to hear whether Alex Sink is running again for governor as she’s off on a United Way mission to China, according to tbo.blogs.com.
Sink will leave on Sunday for a nine-day mission to Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing. According to reports, Sink remains undecided as to whether she will run again for governor, although she did indicate earlier, a decision would be made by September.
Sink, who along with the Florida Democratic Party ran a dismal campaign in 2010, lost to Rick Scott by a razor-thin margin of 48 percent to 49 percent.
Political observers expect that Sink and former Gov. Charlie Christ will announce their intentions before the state Democratic Party’s annual Conference, October 25-27th.
With just over one year to go, former state senator Nan Rich is the only announced Democratic candidate in the race for Florida governor.
Meanwhile, Scott has long been off and running, campaigning for a second term.
