No Lights, Siren in Deputy Involved Deadly Crash

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said that the deputy involved in a car crash at the intersection of Calloway Drive and Magnolia Homes Road near Altamonte Springs, early on Tuesday morning and which claimed the life of an elderly man, was not traveling with lights or sirens.

Deputy Malinda Miller, who is assigned to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Sector One Patrol Division, was on her way to assist another deputy on SR 414 with a possible car theft, a statement from the Sheriffs Office said.
