The top 40 best cities in the world are out in the 2011 Wealth Report produced by Citi and Knight Frank.
As in previous years, the rankings are based on quality of life, economic activity, political power, knowledge and influence.
New York City grabs the top spot again, followed by London and Paris in second and third places, respectively.
Los Angeles ranked as the 6th best city in the world, with Chicago in 11th position, Washington in 12th, and Boston and Miami in 29th and 30th places, respectively.
